Am-Thai Kitchen at Village Voice "Choice Eats" 3/29 Event

For the third year running, Am-Thai Kitchen, 359 McDonald Avenue off  Albemarle Road, has been selected to be among the fifty-plus featured restaurants at the Village Voice’s  Fourth Annual "Choice Eats Tasting Event." This affair will take place at the 69 Armory, 68 Lexington Avenue at 26 Street, Manhattan, on Tuesday March 29.  Desserts and street trucks are the newest additions to this year’s food orgy.  The basic ticket price is $45, but please see the ad to get the full range of  ticket options.

According to Nam, the owner of Am-Thai Kitchen, people get dressed up for the "Choice Eats" evening and are on good behavior.  No mad dash toward the  tables, she assured me, when I described what I once saw at a Paris City Hall event, where the Parisian fashionable inhaled the food in one collective breath and then left; the place a shambles.

Nam said at last year’s "Choice Eats," over 1,000 people showed up to eat what the press release calls “the hidden gems of New York City’s diverse culinary landscape.”

Food service will run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., with drinks served from 5:30 to 6:30.
