Green-Wood Cemetery To Host 'Notes of Tribute' 9/11 Memorial Event

BROOKLYN, NY — Green-Wood Cemetery will mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with an evening of reflection honoring those who lost their lives that day and in the years following.

Green-Wood is the final resting place of more than 100 people who died on September 11 or from related illnesses.

The program runs from 7 to 10 p.m. It will begin with live music and words of remembrance.

The event will honor all 2,977 people killed in the attacks, while reflecting on their enduring impact on New York and the broader community.

The evening will take place at the Gothic Arch near Green-Wood's main entrance near Fifth Avenue and 25th Street.

The viewing spot on one of the cemetery's hills overlooks the Manhattan skyline.

Admission is free and open to the public, but registration is recommended.
