Please adopt my cat....

I own an eight year old spayed calico cat. She's healthy and a bit frisky. My daughter has developed a bad allergy to my Patches, and I have to get her out of the house before the fall when my daughter gets sick the most.

Do you have any space in your heart or home to take Patches in? She isn't very affectionate in general, but she runs to the front door when I come home from work and will expose her belly to me. (Look but don't touch, lol.) Then, she'll jump on the counter and demand kisses. She is an excellent mouser, bug killer and bed warmer. You wouldn't have to buy her toys, litter box, carrying bag, or bed for her.

I've been trying for three months to find her a home by posting on the neighborhood boards, but I've gotten no takers. (I think it's because she's not particularly a lap cat and has never really lived with other pets.)

I rescued Patches and three of her siblings when she was a 6 week old kitten. They were eating out of a trash can. I had them treated at the vet for fleas and brought them home until they became comfortable enough with being around humans in order to be adopted out. Patches was the first of them to crawl up onto my lap and then up to my shoulder. She'd lick my ear lobe and would fall asleep. She chose me to be her cat mama. My heart is breaking because I have to give her away. The shelters are full.

Can you help me?
