Another Attack Last Night, Plus Second Sketch Released of WT Assault Suspect
There are reports this morning of yet another attack, this time on 7th Avenue and 18th Street at about 10pm Thursday night.
A woman in her 20s was walking her dog when a man claiming to have a knife grabbed her from behind and groped her, but he ran off when she screamed, according to the Daily News. Police are investigating, and it's unclear yet if it is connected to the 12 previous attacks.
Additionally, a second sketch of the suspect (above, top sketch) in the Sunday night attack on Vanderbilt Street has been released by the NYPD. This was obtained from a witness of the incident, and includes a photo of a shirt similar to the one worn by the suspect.
Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577. Police say all calls are kept strictly confidential.
