Another iPhone Robbery, This Time at Fort Hamilton Station

Another iPhone nabbed, and this time at the Fort Hamilton Parkway station, which we assumed might have more police presence following last week's attack. A neighbor reports:

My friend was mugged for her iPhone at 7:30pm last night at the Ft. Hamilton F train station by a group of boys. She reported it and looked at 1,500 mug shots of teenagers until late in the night but it doesn't look promising. She was on the phone when she got mugged. Please be careful and use discretion with your electronic devices on the train and street.

If it feels like you're hearing more and more of these kind of robberies on the subway, you're right--the NYPD reported last month that crime on the subway is up 17% largely due to thefts of electronic gadgets.
