Since the F train will be a headache this weekend, why not stay in the area? Just across Coney Island Avenue, the new Whisk Bakery Cafe is having a grand opening weekend, and local artists will have work on display.
The Flatbush Artists Studio Tour - FAST will exhibit its work on Saturday night with a reception from 6 to 9pm. FAST members are showing paintings, photography, jewelry, and mixed media, which will be available for purchase. If you can't make it to the opening, the exhibit will be on display through October 11.
FAST is a group of local artists interested in showcasing the work of visual artists living and/or working in Victorian Flatbush (Flatbush Avenue to Coney Island Avenue, Caton Avenue to Avenue H). For more information, email publicity@flatbushartists.org.
