Assemblyman Brennan to Speak at ANA Meeting on April 28
At its Thursday, April 28 meeting, the Albemarle Neighborhood Association (ANA) will host N.Y. State Assemblyman James F. Brennan, 44th AD, who represents Kensington, Windsor Terrace, Ditmas Park, Boro Park, Park Slope, and parts of Midwood. The recently passed NY State Budget will be chief among the topics he will cover. As chair of the Assembly’s Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions, which oversees all laws on public authorities, and most laws on public utilities, Rep. Brennan is the Assembly’s point person on NY State’s mass transit budget. He also sits on the Codes (jurisdiction over civil and criminal law), Education, and Real Property Taxation committees.
The ANA meeting will take place from 7-8 p.m. at the Flatbush & Shaare Torah Jewish Center, 327 E. 5th Street, corner of Church Avenue. (Please use wheelchair-accessible entrance on the ground floor.) The meeting is free and open to all, especially nonmembers. Foodtown and ANA will provide refreshments.
