You've still got two weeks to read the August book for Babbo's monthly book club meeting on Friday, August 5, and it sounds like a compelling summer read.
"Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison" is the non-fiction account of Piper Kerman, who, after graduating from Smith College, fell in with a bad crowd and ended up entangled in a drug-smuggling operation. Ten years after the crime is committed, she lands in federal prison in Danbury, CT, and the blue-eyed blonde has to learn the rules quickly.
Copies of the book are available at Babbo's.
