Bangladesh Independence Day March 26 at PS 179

This Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m., Bangladeshis from Kensington will celebrate Bangladesh’s 40th National Day at PS 179 on Avenue C bet E. 2 and E. 3rd streets. The events will end at midnight.  Bangladesh’s Declaration of Independence from Pakistan, on March 26, 1971, was won after a successful 9-month war was waged—with India’s help—against it.
