But Seriously Folks, Adopt

But Seriously Folks, Adopt

The other day we mentioned the downer of a bus shelter ad that is meant to promote pet adoptions, but, much like those ASPCA TV commercials, tend to send people into a deep, sad hole. Neighbor Jonathan points us to a video his comedy group, Ibish Comedy, recently made about this very subject. WARNING: It ends a little gross.

Now that you've had a chance recover from all the sad animals and people you've seen, let's remember what these ads are ultimately trying to accomplish--to help animals and the shelters they're in. Locally, we've got the amazing Sean Casey Animal Rescue, which has a constant turnover of wonderful, loving animals who need homes. If you aren't looking to adopt right now, but you're still interested in helping out, Sean Casey has a lot of ways you can get involved. You can buy a "Valentine" for them during the month of February (or just donate anytime). They can also use newspaper, plastic bags, bleach, dish soap, paper towels, as well as old pillow cases and towels. Just be sure to give them a call before you bring anything over.
