Neighbor Becky Loeb is running a cooking program this summer for kids between 7 and 14 years old. Here's the info:
Camp Cupcake
A Summer Culinary Experience for Young Chefs by Becky's Bakeshop
July 11-22: 7-9 years old, 9am-3:30pm
July 25-August 5: 10-14 years old, 9am-3:30 pm
**Early bird and late bird available**
A two-week adventure into creative cooking for young chefs (one week registration also possible).
For young chefs who want to learn cooking techniques, expand their recipe repertoires, refine their palettes and have some summer fun in the kitchen! Camp Cupcake aims to nourish interest and delight in fine cuisine in young adults, whether they cook on occasion, as a hobby or plan a future career as a chef/restauranteur.
Unlike other cooking programs for kids, where participants simply follow recipes, Camp Cupcake wants to nurture the skills, tastes and sophisticated approaches that may lead to a younger generation of creative cooks. We will help our campers to master the basics while encouraging them to be original and to approach cooking innovatively, like true chefs.
