Celebrate St. Patrick's Day Early at Green-Wood

A very cool event is coming to Green-Wood Cemetery next weekend in honor of St. Patrick's Day. It'll be worth celebrating the holiday twice!

On Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., the Green-Wood Historic Fund will host an evening of music, dancing, and the sophisticated swing of Tara O’Grady & The Black Velvet Band at Brooklyn’s Green-Wood Cemetery for a pre-St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The event will take place in Green-Wood’s Historic Chapel.

Tara O’Grady & The Black Velvet Band perform an irresistible mix of traditional Irish songs and jazz standards set to a swing jazz beat. O’Grady and her band perform regularly at Swing 46 Jazz and Supper Club, The Astor Room and Radegast Hall.

Tickets are $90 per couple or $50 per person for Green-Wood Historic Fund members and $100 per couple or $60 per person for non-members.
