The Brooklyn Half-Marathon will be running through the neighborhood this Saturday, May 21. The race starts at 7am in Prospect Park’s Well House Drive, then makes a loop through the park before it heads out onto the streets, cruising down Ocean Parkway until it ends in Coney Island (see the full map here--PDF).
For runners, there are a lot of specials at Coney Island post-race, and families are included in these.
The weather is supposed to finally clear up by Saturday, so it should be a good day to run or to watch. So make some signs and grab your bullhorns and cowbells and get out there and cheer the runners on!
