CIA Kabob Crawl

CIA Kabob Crawl

There's been some talk over on Chow about the wonder that is Coney Island Avenue restaurants. I haven't wandered into enough places yet to know, but Mike R. insists that our stretch of CIA is "a wall-to-wall flavor sensation alley." In particular, he likes a spot that just opened:

All MashAllah's items looked winning, including freshly-made kababs, chapli, chicken tikka masala (saucy type), daal and samosas. A salad and freebie gulab jamun ball were throw in for good measure by the friendly staff.

I like his idea of a kabob crawl down the blocks from Beverley to Avenue H, but I think I'd have to fast for a few days first. Maybe I'll start off with a kabob month--are any of the spots they mention ones you return to over and over?
