If you haven't been yet, its well worth a visit. Connie's Cafe is as close to a decent diner as we get around here (or the greater Ditmas Park for that matter). It opens every day at 6am, stays open till about 8pm, and Connie knows a thing or two about Greek food, says Joy Rich of KARMA, steering me in the direction of a lovely chicken gyro platter (in the photos).
The chicken gyro sandwich was half eaten by the time I thought of taking a picture, but both were plenty of food and delicious. There are bottomless cups of coffee, pancakes and french toast too, if you feel that way inclined. The service is very attentive, and I'm thinking come weekend, its the perfect early breakfast stop with the kids. More about Connie's Cafe here.
