We all know Cynthia King has some regard for animals because of her line of vegan ballet slippers, but she's taken her love further by joining the Board of Directors for the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary (WFAS) of Willow, NY. For several years she has been an active supporter of their work to rescue and rehabilitate animals from abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
The dancer/choreographer and artistic director of Cynthia King Dance Studio is a dedicated activist for animal protection, and she is enthusiastic about serving on the Board of WFAS because she shares their belief that kindness and respect to animals is our moral duty.

"I've been active with Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary for several years and was delighted to be invited to join their Board," King tells us. "As a Board member, I will help plan events, raise funds, and participate in national conferences. I am enthusiastic about hosting local events that rally compassionate neighbors to support animal protection causes!"
WFAS provides a safe place for farmed animal refugees and educates the public about the treatment of animals who are raised for food. Visitors are encouraged to "frolic with goats in a large open pasture, sit down with a pig who wants nothing more than a belly rub, cuddle with chickens who seek out your attention or get nuzzled by some very friendly sheep!"
