How much is it worth to you to live in an apartment near where Al Pacino once acted?
Curbed points to a one-bedroom, two-bath apartment with a roof deck at 279 Prospect Park West, listed by Warren Lewis Realty for $678,000. Now, though it's true the address is part of the block of buildings where Dog Day Afternoon took place, the address of the bank (seen in this intro) is 285, so it's not even really the bank building.
An edition of NPR's Planet Money that ran in April spoke to a realtor from Prospective Realty selling a different unit in 279, who pushed the Dog Day connection pretty hard. Only, it hasn't seemed to work--that unit, #1A, is still on the market.
