Dog of the Week - Angel

Dog of the Week - Angel

Angel, a 2-year old Pit Bull mix, was found as a stray on Flatbush Ave. When he came into the shelter, he was in terrible condition. Somebody had used poor Angel as a bait dog.

A bait dog is submissive dog that is thrown to fighting dogs to be torn up to teach them about the taste of blood. We rushed him to Pet Haven. The swelling and infection in his head was so severe that six drains needed to be put in to his head to relieve the swelling and drain the infection.

It's been several weeks since Angel arrived and he is now fully healed and ready for his new home. He's incredibly smart, receptive to training and loves to play with his toys.

Stop by the shelter and spend time with him to see if he is the right match for you (he would do best as an only dog). Our experienced staff is available to talk with you, answer your questions and provide advice on how to transition him to your home. Angel is neutered, dewormed, treated to prevent fleas & ticks and is up to date with vaccinations.

Sean Casey Animal Rescue is open every day from 11am to 7pm. Angel can't wait to meet you! 718-436-5163 153 E. 3 Street Brooklyn, NY 11218 (by Fort Hamilton Parkway F stop).
