Dog of the Week - Solomon

Dog of the Week - Solomon

Every week the guys at the Sean Casey Animal rescue send us a pet in need of a bit of help to find a good home. We are glad to report that Rock and Rachel have found a good home, and Angel has come a long way from the hurt.

This week is for Solomon - a 3 year old Pit Bull mix. Here is his story:

Solomon was at Animal Care & Control in Brooklyn for a while but he wasn't adopted. He got sick, tested positive for heartworm and was placed on the euthanasia list - but no one wanted to perform the procedure because of the cross on Solomon's chest!

Solomon was placed at our rescue [SCAR is a no-kill shelter], has been successfully treated for heartworm and is ready to find his forever home.

Solomon needs a home with no small animals (no cats, guinea pigs etc). Solomon has survived the city shelter and heartworm...he is ready to live his life to the fullest and find his lifelong companion!

Solomon's adopter must have him retested for heartworm and keep him on heartworm preventative medication for the rest of his life. Stop by the shelter and spend time with him to see if he is the right match for you.

SCAR is located on E3rd street, between Fort Hamilton and Caton. Open daily from 11am till 7pm.
