Domestic Workers' Bill of Rights Information Session
Domestic Workers' Bill of Rights Information Session
Join local parents and members of the Employers for Justice Network for an informal and informative overview of the NY State Domestic Workers' Bill of Rights. Take part in a discussion of what the bill means to you.
Hosted by a member of "Employers for Justice," a project of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ), this gathering is a chance for people who have caregiver working in their homes to learn about the new legislation that provides basic employment guidelines for housekeepers, nannies, and elder care givers. Members of JFREJ (a group instrumental in the bill's passage) will talk about the bill. This is also a chance to speak with others who employ caregivers about the challenges and benefits of employing a valued caregiver in your home.
WHAT: Domestic Workers' Bill of Rights Living Room Gathering
WHEN: Sunday, May 22nd 4-6 p.m.
WHERE: 235 Windsor Pl. (between 10th and 11th Aves.)
