Easter Egg Hunts

A Child Grows on Brooklyn has an egg-cellent list of Easter Egg Hunts taking place this weekend around the borough, including these ones that are nearby:

Easter Egg Hunt EGGstravaganza – Saturday, April 23, 2-6 pm
DonnaDivine Productions will host this egg hunt with crafts, face painting, raffles, refreshments, games and receive a free spring family portrait. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Park Slope Parents ALL VOLUNTEER Easter Egg Hunt – Sunday, April 24th: 11 am- 12:30
Greeters will send groups of 20 people (max) into the Park. Each group will appoint a hiking leader (no bunny suit or previous experience required) for each group, as well as people who wish to serve as entertainers, egg hiders, and whatever else your group needs. The group will go off to an area of its choosing and have their Easter Egg hunt out of sight from other groups. Each group will keep its kids occupied with some music, tattoos (provided by PSP) or activity while others hide the eggs. Each group will be responsible for their own hunt and their own cleanup.  The last group will be formed and sent off at 11:45.
Details: Prospect Park Meet at 3rd Street & PPW entrance.  What you need: 1) A dozen or so of plastic Easter eggs filled with goodies (consider small toys, stickers, coins, shells temporary tattoos as well candy, etc). 2) ALSO- bring props (Easter books, guitar players, etc) for entertainment. Musicians, bring an instrument, shakers, a pot and spoon, anything!! 3) Bring a lunch and a blanket if you want to enjoy the park afterward. If it’s raining, it will be canceled.

Holy Name (245 Prospect Park West) will hold a a Family Mass at 10:30am on Sunday, April 24, and after the Family Mass there will be an Easter Egg Hunt at Our Lady’s Field.

Immaculate Heart of Mary (2805 Fort Hamilton Parkway) will have an Easter Egg Hunt on the Church Lawn after the 11:45am Mass on Sunday, April 24.
