The report yesterday of a woman falling from the 10th story of a building on Ocean Parkway near Cortelyou turns out to have been an 86-year-old woman, who had been trying to close her window. The Daily News reports:
The elderly woman was closing the window in her apartment on Ocean Parkway near Cortelyou Road in Kensington when she took the fatal spill about noon, cops said.
The doorman said he found the woman's crumpled body after a tenant told him a woman appeared to be sleeping in the building's front garden.
The woman died on the scene. Neighbors say she lived with her husband, daughter, and grandchildren, and that she was a very kind person.
