Resilience is the capacity to deal successfully with the challenges and obstacles in life. Since children who are adopted have to deal with an additional complexity to life at an earlier age than most, such as facing issues like loss & identity (which we all have to deal with at some point) nurturing characteristics of resilience in our children is one of the best gifts we can give our children.
