Fall Food in the Neighborhood

Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin. You can tell we're really into the fall season when you start seeing pumpkin and other winter squash showing up in everything, from coffee to pasta to ice cream. So what are your neighborhood favorites?

The Double Windsor just noted they've got squash soup and squash salad (and of course, pumpkin beer), while Brooklyn Commune has a roasted butternut squash salad with fennel and a hazelnut dressing. Also, I spotted a pumpkin pie at Brancaccio's, which you can purchase by the slice--though who could eat just one piece?

If you've had other great pumpkin food in the area, please let us know in the comments.
