Favorite Breakfast Spots

All the talk of Le Paddock brunch and Terrace Bagel lawsuits made me hungry for breakfast. Whether you'd like to sit for a while or grab something quick to go, we've got some great options in the neighborhood, including:

* Windsor Cafe (220 Prospect Park West): A Florentine omelette is packed with spinach and feta cheese for $7.95, but if you're not big on eggs, the menu goes on an on, so there's something for everyone.

* Terrace Coffee Shop (598 19th St): Straightforward diner fare, but the Mexican menu items are the reason to make the trip--the Terrace Omelette is stuffed with guacamole, mozzarella, bacon, and sour cream, and is served with tortilla chips and refried beans.

* Brancaccio's (3011 Fort Hamilton Pkwy): Upscale Italian breakfast sandwiches include eggs with marinara and Fontina cheese--you can take it to go, or on a nice day, grab a spot on one of the benches out front. But take extra napkins, it's as sloppy as it is delicious.
