Thanks once again to Officers Rodriguez and Ruiz in the 66th Precinct PIMS unit for the weekly update. As of December 18, overall felony crime in the 66th dropped 1.22% compared with last year. Misdemeanor sex crime complaints, on the other hand, have increased from 49 last year to 58 this year, an 18.4% rise.

Monday, December 19: Commercial Vehicle Burglary @ McDonald Ave
Upon return to his legally parked car, the driver discovered the window on the passenger side window had been broken, and a thief had taken electronics and credit cards from the car.
Saturday, December 24: Grand Larceny @ McDonald & Ditmas Aves
A woman on the F train was playing with her iPhone when the doors opened and an unknown perp on the platform snatched it from her hand.
Sector K: from Caton Ave to Beverley Rd; from 37th St to Coney Island Ave
Friday, December 23: Burglary @ E 3rd St
A man ran to get his dog for protection when he saw someone standing by the side of his house, but it was too late. By then the thief had stacked chairs at rear of the house leading to the second floor window, cut open the screen, and took the man’s property, including electronics, jewelry, and cash, and then fled.
Saturday, December 24: Robbery @ McDonald Ave & Albemarle Rd
Five perps approached a man and his friends, demanding his “Beats” headphones. Following the group of friends to the train, perp #1 showed them pepper spray and his knife. He also threatened them with a gun he claimed to have. Fearing for his safety, the man turned over his headphones to the perps, who then fled.
