It's hard for a business to strike a good balance with social networking. Too little, and people might forget about you. Too much, and people can get annoyed. When it comes to food in the neighborhood, there are a few spots that are getting it right on Facebook. Every once in a while, they'll post something on their wall that will make your mouth water, and right away you know what you want for dinner. Here's who you should "like" on FB:
* Brooklyn Commune often posts delicious photos of the day's special, like the orechetti with caramelized squash, spring ramps, and venison cherry sausage pictured above that was available yesterday.
* Speaking of specials, Piccoli pops up sometimes to let you know what new pastas are available. Homemade gnocchi with salmon and pink sauce? Yes please!
* Finally, Brancaccio's will set you running over to his shop when he announces that there are only "3 chickens left!!!!!!"
