Free Self Defense Class, Politicians, and Coffee

Reminder that the Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace is hosting a free self-defense event on Sunday, October 23 from 1-3pm. Neighbor Amelia sends some more details:

The first hour come listen to Assemblyman Brennan, the 72nd precinct and Councilperson Brad Lander discuss the recent assaults and what is being done. Come with ideas of what would make our neighborhood safer.

Meet the local neighborhood groups who are working to increase the safety on our streets. Drink coffee from Steeplechase Coffee!

The second hour, Mel Ramsay is offering a free self defense class. Mel is an experienced self defense and martial arts teacher and a long time Windsor Terrace resident.

This is not an appropriate class for children.
