In response to calls for action against a possible serial rapist, Councilwoman Sara Gonzalez of District 38 has organized a series of self-defense classes for local women.
The non-profit Center for Anti-Violence (CAE) and CrossFit718 are the first to offer the classes, though more may be added soon. Both locations are accessible by the B67, B69, or B68 buses--though you'll have to walk a little, so consider bringing a buddy so you don't have to try out your new moves so soon.
Classes with CrossFit718 begin Saturday, September 10, at 1pm.
