From Kensington Perp to Bklyn Defendant

As a follow-up to the crime reports The Kensington Prospect gets regularly from the 66 Precinct, here are the charges against 4 perps for crimes that occurred in Kensington during October:

The Brooklyn DA’s office charged Arlene Reyes, 42, with burglary in the second degree, i.e., unarmed and without battery, committed Wednesday October 13 at Avenue C. Other charges included Criminal Trespass in the second and third degrees; Trespass; and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the fifth degree, a Class A misdemeanor.  The 66 Precinct's weekly crime report said she broke in through a window and stole property.

In another case, Zahir Hossain, 30, was charged with Assault in the third degree, a Class A misdemeanor, for the Tuesday October 12 Assault with a bat against 2 men at McDonald and Church avenues. Other charges included Menacing in the second and third degrees; second degree Harassment; and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree, which is a Class A misdemeanor.

The Brooklyn DA's office also charged two young men, one a juvenile, with attempted Robbery in the second and third degree for the Tuesday October 19 street robbery attempt at 503 Cortelyou Road on a man who resisted despite threats to beat him up. Other charges included attempted Grand Larceny in the fourth degree, attempted Petit Larceny, Menacing in the third degree, and Harassment in the second degree. The adult perp was Makendi Losier, 19.
