Greenmarket Update

This week Windsor Terrace Greenmarket farmers hope for dry weather, as farms all over our region continue to deal with the damage from Hurricane Irene and try to plan for the future.

 J. Glebocki Farms is figuring out how to bounce back. "This is what farming is about--feeding people the best we can," farmer John Glebocki notes. "All of us as consumers and growers should remember what it takes to feed people and how we sometimes take it for granted.

The number one way that you can help is to continue shopping at the city's Greenmarkets. Also consider donating to GrowNYC's hurricane relief fund, or contacting your representatives in the House and Senate to ask that they support the farmers in need.
