There's a bit more color on 7th Avenue thanks to Bay Ridge graffiti artist Michael McLeer, aka "Mr. Kaves." He painted a mural on the temporary wall that's up in front of the coming beer garden, which will be called Greenwood.
It looks great, but I can't quite figure out why he chose a Honeymooners theme--Ralph and the gang lived in Bensonhurst. I reached out to McLeer for insight, but haven't heard back.
The Brooklyn Paper reports that the art, which was sanctioned by the owners, will be very short-lived. They say the beer garden should be open this fall. Looking at all the work that still needs to be done, that seems hard to believe, but good luck to them!
