Halloween Candy Buy-Back at PS 154

Next week, neighbors are invited to bring excess candy to PS 154 to help our troops overseas through the Halloween Candy Buy-Back Program.

After a fun night of trick-or-treating or passing out candy, you might find you've got way too much of the sugary stuff on your hands. Through this program, dentists around the country offer children $1/pound of donated candy, which is then sent to servicemen and women in Operation Gratitude Holiday Care Packages.

Two Brooklyn dentists, Dr. Miriam Bonet of Universal Dental Arts and Dr. Sophia Milito of Park Dentistry, are collecting the candy from PS 154, and the money collected for the candy will be put toward adding books to the school's classrooms.
