It seems the 66th Precinct’s Halloween Party was designed specifically for the public school kids, not adults, and they had all come from the 16th Ave. school and gone at lunchtime. At 5 there was still plenty of popcorn left in the redecorated Muster Room, along with a coffin and lots of cotton candy. Only P.O. Vaughan was there to welcome the ghosts.
On Sunday afternoon at Sean Casey's Howlloween Block Bark Party, though, there were plenty of people as well as a pony, a band, the Fire Department, free pasta from Maria’s Pizzeria and Brancaccio’s, Pet Haven, the ASPCA officers porting pistols, and nicely designed pamphlets from D.A. Hynes' office warning about domestic violence and gangs.
