Keeping the Kids Busy on Thanksgiving

You've got an enormous turkey to roast, "stuffing" refers to getting as many people into your apartment as possible, and oh yeah, the kids are off from school and are looking to be entertained. So what have you got planned? Here are a few ideas to keep the kids busy:

* Have them help with the cooking: Older kids need to learn how to chop at some point, and you've got a lot of potatoes to get through. Even little kids can be helpful in some way, from stirring to setting the table.

* Get crafty: The old traced-hand turkey gets old quick--the master of crafts, Martha Stewart, has a few more suggestions.

* Keep games on hand: Bring out a bunch of games, and maybe even save a new one to open as a new Thanksgiving tradition. Here's one that combines craftiness and gaminess!

How do you keep things fun (and sane) with the kids on a busy holiday?
