Kensington squeaked in past Windsor Terrace in Brian Merlis and Lee Rosenzweig's new book "BROOKLYN'S WINDSOR TERRACE, KENSINGTON and PARKVILLE". Over 250 neighborhood images made it into this book from their fabulous collection (check out BrooklynPix for a bit of history on just about every neighborhood corner):
Includes Liz Farrell's history of Windsor Terrace, early maps, some ephemera, but mostly an informative photographic survey of this interesting, often-overlooked section of Brooklyn, from Farrell's Bar near Bartel-Pritchard Square, down through the Ocean Parkway corridor to about Washington Cemetery. Included the trio of Communities: Windsor Terrace, Kensington, and Parkville. A must for any Brooklyn nuts, like us!
Book party Monday night at 7:30PM at Babbo's Books, 242 Prospect Park West (between Windsor Pl. & Prospect Ave).
