Kensington/Windsor Terrace Youthmarket Open Until October 29

The new—and local—Kensington/Windsor Terrace Youthmarket is the highest grossing Youthmarket in the GrowNYC network, according to Catherine Zinnel, Councilman Brad Lander's recently appointed Kensington Liaison/District Director. That means our trial period is over. It should be back next spring with expanded offerings, perhaps fresh fish and/or meat, and bouquets of flowers.

Last Saturday it was selling small watermelons, corn, assorted autumn vegetables, and bouquets of zinnias. It will continue to offer sustenance—both provisions and conversation—to our area each Saturday through October 29 at the corner of E. 5th and Ft. Hamilton Parkway from 9 to 3. If you haven't yet visited, you owe it to yourself—and the Kensington/Windsor Terrace community—to check it out.

When the going gets tough, the tough go (vegetable) shopping, right?
