Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace Opens Soon

Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace, scheduled to open on Sunday, September 18, is a community center that will feature educational, cultural, social, and artistic programs. It is affiliated with the Kings Bay YM-YWHA (located in Sheepshead Bay), the largest multi-service agency in the area.

The Y will offer after school programs, music, art, chess, yoga, storytelling, an open elaborate play space, prenatal classes, CPR/First Aid for toddlers, Chinese Mandarin classes, holiday celebrations, family events, and more. Many of the classes feature local instructors such as Dari Litchman, Mike Gold “The Balooniac," Jen Nails, Amanda Miller, Melissa Loehman Wild, and others. There will also be an outdoor play space.

The official open house is set for Sunday, September 18, 11am-1pm. Everyone is invited to learn about the programs, participate in demo classes, meet the staff, and enjoy activities for children. Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, a supporter of active, healthy lifestyles, is scheduled to attend.
