Lisbeth Salander Lives on Prospect Ave?

Lisbeth Salander Lives on Prospect Ave?

Are the ladies of Windsor Terrace playing out revenge fantasies in their heads? That's what the New York Post suggests in a story about a new H&M fashion line inspired by Lisbeth Salander, the payback-fueled female lead character of the popular Steig Larson books and movies:

This fall, nobody’s more in touch with their inner Lisbeth Salander than the women of Brooklyn, terrorized by more than 20 sex attacks in Park Slope, Windsor Terrace and Kensington over the past eight months.

What do you think? Is the thought of revenge against an attacker empowering, or dangerous?

Or is this just a goth-looking fashion thing that's capitalizing on an über-successful franchise and the Post is connecting it to an upsetting series of crimes to make it seem relevant to New York?
