New York CIty Council Speaker Christine Quinn will be speaking, along with mothers who have been affected by gun violence. We will be presenting our Mother's Bill of Rights at this event.

: Mother's Day Eve March Against Gun Violence, honoring mothers who have lost their children to gun violence

When
: Saturday, May 11th, 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.

Where
: The march begins at E. 138th Street and Brook Avenue in the Bronx. The presentation/speakers will go on at 1 p.m. at nearby People's Park, at E. 141st Street and St. Ann's Avenue. (Transit: 6 train to Brook Avenue).

What to bring
: Please make and bring with you to carry eight paper flowers symbolizing the eight children lost each day to gun violence. Instructions for making the flowers here: http://momsdemandaction.org/mothers-day/ (Please note that we've discovered that chopsticks and drinking straws work great for stems and are much cheaper than the suggested wooden dowels. For petals, we've been recycling old magazines, catalogs and party napkins.)
