Neighborhood Daffodil Planting

Neighborhood Daffodil Planting

Kensington has received several new street trees, but those tree pits need help. Planting daffodil bulbs in the fall is a quick, easy way to ensure the streets look nicer in the spring--plus, the city gives out bulbs for free!

Neighbor Lee Gough has arranged a neighborhood daffodil planting for Saturday, September 17. It's a fun activity for kids (and people who see kids working on something like this tend to be more respectful of the areas down the line), you'll meet your neighbors, and it'll be really satisfying to see your work bloom next year.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring gardening gloves and hand shovels if you have them, but it's not necessary.
