Newkirk Ave Conditions Survey Today at 3pm

When the Love Your Block grant deadline was announced a few months ago, two neighbors got together and came up with a plan--to improve Newkirk Avenue between Ocean Parkway and Flatbush Ave--and their plan won a grant! In partnership with Compost for Brooklyn and called the Newkirk Cares Collaborative, they are inviting neighbors to join them today to begin assessing the needs of the street.

Meet Lyna and Oksana on Newkirk Plaza today, Tuesday, December 27 at 3pm, near the bike racks, and help them assess the condition of existing infrastructure (lamps, the lack of benches, bike racks, street tree pits, container planting potential) along the street.
