Unless you like the special torture that is shuttle buses, get ready to hang out in the neighborhood this weekend.
Starting tonight at midnight and lasting through 5am Monday, the F train will not be running between Jay Street-MetroTech and 18th Avenue.
Instead, there will be shuttle buses--and that's plural, because they are running in three sections:

* Local service between Jay St-MetroTech and 4 Av-9 St, making stops at Bergen, Carroll Sts and Smith-9 Sts.
* Local service between 4 Av-9 St and Church Av, making stops at 7 Av, 15 St-Prospect Park and Fort Hamilton Pkwy.
* Limited stop service between Jay St- MetroTech and 18 Av, stopping at Church and Ditmas Avs.

In addition, the G is not running between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Ave.
Of course there are regular MTA buses as an alternative, or you can hike over to some of the nearest subways. The bike share program sounds like it'd be pretty useful on a weekend like this.
Consider this a preview of what's to come this winter, when the 15th St/Propect Park station and the Fort Hamilton Station are both closed on the Coney Island-bound side. That work is set to start either "late fall" or January 14, according to the MTA site.
