Paul Auster Reading and Tour at Green-Wood

For author Paul Auster, doing a reading at Green-Wood Cemetery seems only natural. His most recent novel--from which he'll be reading and discussing--is called Sunset Park, which of course borders the cemetery. Then there are other connections--he's said to live nearby, and his movie Smoke was set at the corner where The Pie Shop now stands. So while the reading should be fun, the tour that follows should be even more interesting(UPDATE: there will not be a trolley tour, just the book discussion).
I’ve seen Auster speak before, and he’s quite mesmerizing, a truly terrific storyteller. If you’re even a little bit of a fan, and you’re looking for a nice way to spend an autumn day, this should not be missed.
Admission to the book talk, question and answer session with the author, and trolley tour on Saturday, November 19 at 1pm is $15 for Green-Wood Historic Fund members and $20 for non-members. Seating is limited. For more information, visit green-wood.com/tours-events or call 718-210-3080.
