Following a rough year that included bed bug rumors, a manager's written apology to the community, and Sex and the City 2, the Park Slope Pavilion Cinema is trying to make a comeback--with a paint job.
The Brooklyn Paper gets few details from 23-year-old(!) general manager Ross Brunetti, but he says the theater's corporate owner, Cinedigm, has approved a renovation. Hopefully there's more to it than just choosing color schemes and replacing the seats (though if you've been there lately, and as this picture shows, new seats would be a good start). Anything to keep one of the few remaining movie theaters in the area alive is well worth it.
