Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Ocean Pkwy

A 43-year-old man was struck and killed at about 2:30am at the corner of Ocean Parkway and Beverley Road.

News 12 reports that the driver stayed at the scene and no criminality is suspected.

According to a report released earlier this year by the Tri-state Transportation Campaign, Ocean Parkway is the third most dangerous street for pedestrians in Brooklyn.

UPDATE: A little more has come out about the victim. His name and correct age haven't been released, but a witness and acquaintance told the Daily News that he had been sleeping on a bench on Ocean Pkwy for the past three months, and had just been beaten up in a fight when he stumbled into the road.
