PS 217, the Colonel David Marcus School, is our nearest evacuation center--in addition to PS 249, as the city map indicates. Local Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members were preparing the school today.
Please remember that the evacuation center should be used as a last resort. Also, pets are welcome. A 70th Precinct Community Affairs officer adds:

UPDATE: PS 249 is still an evacuation center. It is also in need of volunteers. Just show up to the school to help out.
