Robbery and Attempted Rape on Subway at Fort Hamilton Station
A scary attack of a woman on the F train at Fort Hamilton Parkway took place at 2:25am on Wednesday.
The suspect, pictured in the sketch here, approached the victim while she was riding aboard a southbound F train and put his hand around her throat while displaying a knife. He then demanded the victim's property and removed her pocketbook containing an iPhone and money.
Then the man demanded that the woman remove her underwear, but no sexual assault was committed.
He fled the train and is seen on video crossing the northbound platform at the Fort Hamilton Parkway station.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 45-50 years old, 5-feet 10-inches tall, 200 pounds, stocky build, bald, and has scruffy facial hair. The suspect was last seen wearing a maroon sweater, dark colored pants, and dark colored work shoes.
Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577. Police say all calls are kept strictly confidential.
