DERBY FIT STARTS ON MAY 8th at GREENWOOD PLAYGROUND
Derby Fit is returning to Kensington/Windsor Terrace. What is roller derby, you say? It's a team-based roller skating racing game. Our brand of roller derby is not crazy or too dangerous. It's really just a way to have fun and get fit while kicking a little bit of booty. Learn more here:

It’s also a fundraiser for the Friends of Greenwood Playground and the Gotham Girls Roller Derby. All proceeds beyond the instructor fee go to fund the activities of these two great groups.

What a better way to get fit! It's fun, cheap, and local. The first hour will be held in sneakers. During the second hour we'll lace up and learn important skills of turning, falling, and more! This class is geared toward absolute beginners and folks who haven’t been on skates in twenty years.
The two-hour class will be held Saturday mornings from 9-11 at Greenwood Playground in Windsor Terrace. Take the F Train to Fort Hamilton Parkway and Greenwood Playground is just outside of the exit. The league fee for this first session is $125 for six Saturdays (the first class, however, will be on Sunday May 8th). The league fee for subsequent sessions will be $145 for seven Saturdays. You will need to purchase equipment (4-wheel skates, pads, etc.) if you don't already own it.
