Safe Slope's Safe Walk is back from a holiday hiatus starting this weekend. If you'd like one of their escorts to walk you home within their designated areas (which includes the 15th St/Prospect Park F/G station), the volunteers operate on Thursday from 8pm to 1am, Friday from 8pm to 3am, and Saturday from 8pm to 3am.
New to the program is a reservation system. If you would like a Safe Walk, you should email, text, or leave a voicemail by 6pm of the night you need the walk, telling them the following info:
* Your name
* Your phone number
* The approximate time you will need a Safe Walk. (Your best guess. You may provide a window. No need to be exact)
* The approximate location of pick-up and drop-off. (Your best guess).
They'll confirm they've received your info, and then:
We will provide you with names and photos of the Volunteer Pair who will be walking you home. That night, you will simply contact us when you finalize the time and location for your pick-up (for example, you can call us when you’re about to leave a location/get on the subway).
